Yesterday we listed a number of marketing tools that could be useful to a small business going into to 2017, and today, we’re going to talk about when it is a good time to use them!

As a new company, we have had a ton of conversations with clients and potential clients about their marketing strategies. It will sometimes be long, and sometimes be short, but most have a ton of questions concerning what platforms they should be spreading the message of their company, and when they should be marketing their product or service. As for what platforms, I’m going to stay away from that question today and let you know that all industries are different, and the coorect marketing strategy will depend on the industry.

Now was for when you should be marketing your company, the answer is: RIGHT NOW! Simple as that. One of the biggest hurdles we face when talking to potential clients is, “I’m not interested in marketing right now, it’s my busy season, I won’t slow down until X month comes around, so let’s talk then.” The problem with this is that the average consumer is becoming smarter and smarter with all of the resources in the world at their fingertips. It doesn’t just take one Facebook Ad campaign to reach your customer, it might take five to eight touches with different marketing platforms to help them choose your product over the competition. So by the time this busy season ends, it will usually take awhile for their customers that they want to reach, to even recognize them.

This doesn’t take away from the fact that a lot of small business just simply don’t have the time to handle the marketing during their busy time of year. If only there was a company that could help them plan and place these marketing strategies for them…
